Fishing has been good to excellent the last week. Have been catching both trout and redfish on live shrimp and soft plastics. Some fish we are catching working birds others looking for nervous bait. The excellent fall fishing should continue at least through November.

Fished with David and Kelly today. We caught 15 trout up to 3lbs using live shrimp and soft plastics.

Sept. 28, 2012

Fished the ASA tournament with the JM Maley company. Started the day off drifting reefs in trinity bay using top waters and soft plastics. We then moved out to wells using soft plastics. Ended the day with 19 trout and 1 red. The trout were up to 4 lbs. Chris was on his first fishing trip and caught several nice sized trout. The fall fishing is about to break wide open so give me a call if you want to get in on some great fall fishing. Capt. CR

Fished with Tommie, Bev and Mike today. Using live shrimp and soft plastics we caught 19 trout and 3 reds.

Sept. 16,2012

Fall is in the air. The days are shorter and the water is beginning to cool down. The fishing should really start to pick up once we get another cool front. I am still catching some really nice trout fishing the wells in trinity using soft plastics and live shrimp. I have seen some bird action in trinity. There are a lot of small fish but also some nice keepers. This fall looks really promising so give me a call to get in on some of this great fall fishing. Capt. C.R.

Fishing has been fair to excellent the last few weeks. When we have light winds and can get out into the middle of the bay we have been catching near limits or limits. The bait of choice has live shrimp under a popping cork. Have been catching on softly plastics also. The reefs in east bay have been holding fish along with the wells in trinity

July, 14, 2012 Have been catching a lot of fish over the last month. Have been catching them on artificials, croakers and live shrimp. The fish are all over the bay right now. The reefs in east bay are still holding a lot of fish. The spoils around the ship channel have been producing some nice fish on croakers. The wells in trinity have started producing using live shrimp and soft plastics. Give me a call to get in on some of this great fishing action.

Fishing has been really good over the past several weeks. I have been catching some real quality trout up to 7-1/2 pounds. The fish have been caught on soft plastics in limetrause with 1/4oz lead head. I have also been catching them in crokers dragging them behind the boat as we drift. Most fish have been coming from deep shell. Give me a call if you would like to get in on some of this speckled trout action

Fishing for trout really picked up before this last front. I hve been catching trout to 5.5 lbs drifting mid bay reefs in east bay. The area around the causeway and campbells has been producing trout on top waters and soft plastics. There has also been some bird action in that part of the bay. Still catching redfish in the upper part of galveston bay. Give me a call to get in on some of this action as it will just continue to get better.

The fishing has been better the last few days. Had a father/son duo out on Monday. Hit the jetties and caught Spanish mackerel and redfish on live shrimp. The fishing on upper Galveston bay has started to pick up. I am catching a lot of redfish on live shrimp. The trout are also beginning to show up on the reefs on east bay on live shrimp and soft plastics.

Spring fishing is starting to heat up. I have been fishing the upper Galveston Bay using live shrimp under a poppping cork. The water is still not that pretty but the fish are there so do not let the water color stop you from fishing your favorite spring spots. I went out today on a short scouting trip before the rain

and caught 5 keeper trout and a red. The water visabilty was about 6" but the fish were there.

Fishing in the upper part of Galveston bay has continued to be only fair with all the wind and rain. The best bite has been late in the evening on live shrimp under a popping cork. Do not let the water color scare you as just because it looks bad to the human eye the fish are still there. I have gotten some good reports of a lot of sheephead and drum from the jetties and around the galveston channel. The trout fishing should improve as the weather warms.

2/20/12

The fishing has continued to be tough for me. All the rain and wind has not allowed me to get out much. The days I have been going out I have been catching 1/2 limits of trout. Mainly been fishing the sylvan beach area working pier pilings. The bait of choice has been the maniac mullet.

2/5/12 Fishing report

Fishing over the last few weeks has been a little slow. The best results for me have been in clear lake/seabrook flats area. I have been keying on areas were I see mullet jumping. Most the fish have been caught on the pink maniac mullet.
